Dear NEMA Members,
Attached is a flyer for a multihull flavored presentation about Chicago to Mackinac race.
The Chicago Yacht Club is again promoting this year’s 117th "Race to Mackinac" for Multihulls sailors. The "Race to Mackinac" is the longest annual freshwater sailing race in the world. Starting in Chicago, the race spans 333 statute miles up Lake Michigan, finishing at the scenic Mackinac Island, Michigan. Widely recognized as one of the most prestigious yacht races in the world, the Mac Race is considered a bucket-list event for sailors from around the world.
The race's unpredictable weather and shifting winds on Lake Michigan make it a supreme test of sailing skill, rivaling many offshore ocean races. (see attached flyer)
In 2025 there were 12 Multihulls registered, 8 starting with 6 completing the race (one of them was NEMA boat - Corsair 37 - Stingray). This race is a true test of crew skills, boat and equipment . So if you've dreamed of the R2AK on a multihull, this event is another one to add to your bucket-list.
